Prekindergarten and Junior Kindergarten are five-day/full-day programs (8:30 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.).

2024-25 Lower, Middle, and Upper Independent Private School Tuition

Tuition covers more than classes; it incorporates field trips and athletic team participation.
We understand that tuition is not something all families plan to take on when considering primary education. Our students are from a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds and because of this, we work with each family to find the right tuition level for their unique financial situation through Indexed Tuition.
Class sizes vary from grade to grade and across divisions. Generally, we maintain a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio and have an average of 12 students per class.
Our faculty have an average of 17 years of teaching experience and more than half hold advanced degrees in education.
Our school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., with Lower School beginning class at 8:30 a.m. Before- and after-care is available at Falcon Club for Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School students. That program is open at 6:30 a.m. until school begins and resumes at 3:20 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Fredericksburg Academy's Lunch Program partners with local restaurants to bring delicious and nutritious options from local restaurants to campus each day. The Parent-Faculty Association sponsors pizza lunches each Friday for students and teachers.
FA offers two morning bus routes, one that transports students from Route 3 in Spotsylvania County (as far west as Lake of the Woods) and one that transports students from Stafford and downtown Fredericksburg (as far north as the Route 610). Learn more.
The Falcon Club is Fredericksburg Academy's before- and after-school program. The program opens at 6:30 a.m. and runs until school begins and stays open until 6 p.m. after school. Falcon Club students have a snack, work on homework, and enjoy supervised play time. Learn more.
FA Enrichment is another way to extend the school day and expand the learning experience. This program is built upon a rotating schedule of classes in everything from the arts to the outdoors offered throughout the school year. These classes are led by experienced FA Faculty or outside professionals. Classes will be offered on various days of the week and have different start times and pricing. Learn more.
Fredericksburg Academy students do not wear uniforms. FA does follow dress guidelines, which seek to ensure that students have a neat, clean appearance that does not distract from their or their peers' learning environment.
Our athletics program comprises 25 teams across seven sports and three seasons, which includes middle school and Varsity sports teams. FA teams compete against other private schools in the Greater Piedmont Athletic Conference and are a part of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association. Learn more.
One-hundred percent of FA graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities. Seventy-one percent of the Class of 2016 had three or more college acceptances to choose from, and the class as a whole earned more than $1 million in scholarships.
