Fredericksburg Academy practices Continuous Enrollment, where students are automatically re-enrolled for the next school year.
- Continuous Enrollment is an approach to enrollment followed by almost all colleges and being adopted by many independent schools nationwide.
- Rather than an opt-in annual re-enrollment process, Continuous Enrollment is an opt-out process. In other words, if you're returning to Fredericksburg Academy after initially enrolling, you will never need to fill out another enrollment contract.
- We are assuming that you are going to return, unless you inform us by completing the online Opt-Out Form prior to February 10.
- Tuition rates for the following school year will be shared in January of that same year.
- You may notify us by February 10 if your student will not be returning for the upcoming academic year by completing the online Opt-Out Form
- Enrollment deposits remain at $1,000 for JK- Grade 12 and $500 for PK. Deposits will be billed to your FACTS account on February 15.
- FACTS will continue to bill parents under the Same Tuition Plan unless the parent requests the change in writing to the Business Office. Fredericksburg Academy will continue to offer three payment options– a monthly installment plan (begins in June and ends in May each year), a two-payment plan, and payment in full.
Enrolling a sibling of a current student is the same as enrolling a new student. Each student will have their own Continuous Enrollment Contract. Use the My Candidates tab in your Parent Portal to begin the admission process for a sibling.
- Yes, all families must have a FACTS account for tuition collection. In addition to automatically collecting tuition payments, FACTS will manage the collection of the annual tuition non-refundable deposit and other fees as needed.
- Those families who already have a FACTS account do not need to register for one again. Those who do not have a FACTS account should create one as soon as their child is accepted to Fredericksburg Academy. The process is online and simple.
The annual non-refundable tuition deposit will be drawn from your FACTS account on February 15 unless the school receives an Opt-Out Form from you prior to February 10.
- As noted in your Continuous Enrollment contract, all accounts must be current in order to keep your enrollment status active.
- Indexed Tuition will only be awarded when accounts are current.
- Families who opt-out prior to February 10 and later decide to enroll must contact the Admission Office for space availability. There will be no guarantee of space for that student. A revised contract will be offered if space is available.
- A non-refundable tuition deposit will be due to opt your student back in– $1,500 for JK- Grade 12 and $750 for PK; $1,000 will be credited toward the next school year's tuition for JK- Grade 12 and $500 will be credited toward the next school year's tuition for PK. The remainder is an administrative fee.
